It started with a fancy dinner…

At one of those restaurants that makes you feel like you've entered a velvet-roped club, where your name has to be on a list, the lighting is dim, the glasses sparkle, and every plate could be in a museum. We were seated at a cozy table for 4 in a perfectly secluded spot as if isolation was part of the meal. Each table was its own little island of hush-hush conversation and perfectly plated dishes.

Throughout the meal, there was an odd feeling, like we were at a restaurant, but nobody else was there. We were all part of this incredible dining experience together, but could not feel more disconnected from those around us. We were glued to the people circled around our table, unable to reach beyond our own little bubble. At one table, a couple was talking about a dessert we hadn’t even noticed on the menu. Across the room, there was a large group sharing a massive seafood tower that would have been far too much food for us four. The chance to sample different dishes, connect, or even talk to these strangers was as socially looked down upon as ordering a steak well done.

By dessert, we had dismantled the whole traditional restaurant experience. Enjoying fancy food shouldn’t have to be so isolating. How can we make it socially acceptable, or better yet, expected to chat with other tables, taste new flavors together, and have each dining experience feel like a new adventure?

That’s how the idea for Feast & Fork really began. What if we created a place where we connected the tables for you? Imagine, a dining experience where you’re supposed to meet new people, try each dish on the menu, and talk to everyone around you. Imagine evenings that would be completely unique, filled with fresh faces and flavors you wouldn’t get at a traditional restaurant. Feast & Fork was born to bring back the spirit of shared meals, where everyone’s dish is fair game, every table is an invitation, and dining is an experience you want to share with a wider circle.

So, next time you’re at a fancy restaurant and wish you could just ask for a bite of someone else’s dessert, remember at Feast & Fork, we’ve pushed together the tables, pulled back the ropes, and served up a way to make dining out a much more communal experience.
